<p>One of the selected artists for the first biennial exhibition to be held at The Collection, in Lincoln, showcasing the region’s flourishing contemporary visual arts scene, brings together artists from all parts of the East Midlands. The exhibition can be seen from Saturday 5th February 2011 until Tuesday 3rd May 2011. Entry is free and a copy of the gallery catalogue can be downloaded from the website. The Collection, adjacent to the Usher Gallery, enables new and established artists to present their work at a prestigious venue, which attracts visitors from many parts of the world. Competition was intense with work by thirty-six artists chosen from the one hundred and fifty entrants. Works were chosen for their individual qualities. The exhibition will appeal to a wide audience base because of the vibrancy of the work and the variety of artistic processes displayed.</p>
<p>Moira was also recently selected by her peer group to become a member of the Contemporary Crafts Network. Moira said, “Working with felt, I am keen to introduce this amazing material to a wider audience to show a variety of skills and techniques. I incorporate locally sourced animal, cellulose and plant fibres to produce unusual contemporary art works.</p>
<p><strong>2010</strong></p>
<p>Selected quotes from the ‘Sense of Felt’ exhibition held at the St.Martin’s Gallery, Lincoln in 2010 include, &#8220;Magic stuff &#8211; a material I have no experience of making which means your works and interpretative language really makes me more thoughtful. The gallery has been transformed, excellent&#8221; (Pete Moss, ceramic artist) and &#8220;Wonderful words, wonderful work. A priviledge&#8221; (Barry Hepton, Object &amp; Line).</p>
